This is my maternal grandfather, Peter John Martin, Mother and Helen standing with Wilda, Ruth, grandmother Marjorie and Pamela who later died at the age of four  I believe this picture was taken about 1930..

Grandfather Peter died of suicide in 1946.  He had apparently experienced lingering psychological effects as a result of the chlorine and mustard gas attacks he suffered as a frontline soldier during WWI.

Grandmother Marjorie died in 1968 after she was involved in a car accident as a passenger with my mother driving.

My mother died from the effects of a stroke that put her in a coma in 1994 after a fall in which she broke her hip.

Wilda died a few years ago of old age and Helen died recently.  Only Ruth is still living.
