This is me flying to Hong Kong in April of 2000 as a guest of Captain Hugh Forbes in the cockpit of a Canadian Airlines 747.
I always had a romantic notion of the
famous Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong from reading references to it in
many novels so here it is. It is similar to our old CPR Railway
hotels in Canada, being very posh and expensive to stay or dine at.
This is downtown Hong Kong showing the
colourful trams in the background and the hordes of people in the
streets. This picture was taken with my first digital camera that
I bought in December of 1997. It had a resolution of only about a
1/3 of a mega pixel. My story of this flight to Hong Kong
