This is the route I took in May of 2000 when I flew a friend's plane from Golden to Lacombe.
This is me in my friend's Spectrum
Beaver RX 550 just before takeoff and the flight through Howse Pass to
the David Thompson Highway and onto Rocky Mountain House and Lacombe,
Alberta.
This is the owner of the plane, Ted
Davis. His motorhome is in the background. We had camped at
this Kootenay Plains Indian campgrounds when I encountered strong winds
as I approached Abraham Lake just east of here.
This is Ted's hangar in Lacombe which he
purchased for $25,000 in the year 2000. My complete story on this
